September 2021

Dear AIS Families,

Are you ready to be back on campus?

We are thrilled that the Ministry of Education and Sports, Uganda has permitted Candidate Classes to return to campus. In keeping with this, all our candidates (PYP6, MYP5, DP and A Levels) students will have an opportunity to return to campus starting Monday, September 13, 2021.

We have been working tirelessly to ensure a safe campus for our students to return to and to implement best practices that can help mitigate risks associated with the community spread of the Covid-19 virus. A few such steps are:

➡️Signage installations throughout the academic block

➡️One-way movement throughout campus

➡️Hand washing and sanitizing in all classrooms and throughout campus

➡️Opportunities to access outdoor learning spaces

➡️Masks and social distancing protocols will always be expected from the entire AIS community.

➡️All our staff, teaching and non-teaching are vaccinated. However, as per CDC guidelines, it is worthy to note that even fully vaccinated people can be infected and spread to others. Please read more here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html

Therefore, masks and social distancing will be our main guards to help us live with this virus and bring back normalcy.

Click here for our Back-To Campus Survey Form that every Candidate class parent is expected to fill before the deadline.
