Welcome to Acorns International School

Acorns International School (AIS) is an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) School. AIS offers Early Childhood (18 months – 5 years), Primary Years Programme (Year 1 – Year 6), and Middle Years Programme (Year 7- Year 10). Our aim is to provide a quality international education at affordable prices. As AIS completes two decades in the field of education service it has grown itself to offer a full International Baccalaureate to meet your child’s needs. This transformation of AIS owes a lot to the hard work of pupils and teachers, as well as the incredible support of the parents.

We are committed to the continued success and growth of AIS, to ensure that we keep on improving; giving every child the best possible start in life, no matter what their backgrounds are. Parents are welcome to visit our new purpose built school at Kisasi to meet AIS team, who are committed to helping your child achieve their best. Admission is open throughout the school year, subject to availability

In order to provide the best education for our students, we have a set limit for the number of students that can be enrolled in one classroom. We also offer great student-to-teacher ratios in order to guarantee our students get adequate attention throughout the day. Our teachers are constantly assessing each student to determine their areas of strength and areas that need improvement. The teachers at AIS differentiate for each student depending on their individual needs so each student can continue to improve at his or her own pace.

AIS is non-sectarian and co-educational, founded on strong partnerships between parents, teachers, and learners. The language of instruction is English, with both French and Swahili as part of our dynamic curriculum. The information you will find on our website is merely a sample of the many possibilities offered at AIS International School and we welcome visits at all times.

 Visiting AIS

We welcome visitors throughout the academic year. A visit to AIS allows you and your child to actually experience what the school is all about. Visits are relaxed and involve both meeting with the administration and visiting the classrooms and grounds. If you then wish to register with AIS, you need to complete a registration form and medical information form. Once registered, your child may start at AIS on any school contact day at the convenience of staff and parents.
