In their current Unit of Inquiry, our Year 1 students are learning about “Space.” After looking at four rocky planets, they discovered that all have active volcanoes! 🌋. This sparked their interest to investigate more about what volcanoes are made of and how they erupt. The students then did experiments using soda bicarbonate, vinegar, and red food color in order to better understand how rocks melt into liquid and how they are vented out of the ground as magma.

The current Unit of Inquiry for our Year 3 students is “Geography and Human Connection.” In this Unit, our students explored weather, weather systems, and weather instruments.

In this video, one of our students talks about important weather concepts and shares the weather instruments she created. Let’s learn along!
