Parent Teacher Communication

Vivacious, veracious and voracious… that is what we seek!!! Our teaching community is as vibrant as our student body. Representing over 10 nationalities, our teachers are the foundation that we stand strong on.

TEACHERS’ PROFILE

To be part of the AIS Teaching Staff, a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) degree is mandatory, in addition to experience in international education.

Our teaching assistants are also required to have teaching qualification, in order to be actively engaged with our students. Apart from qualification and experience, our staff needs to be qualified as an IB teacher, trained by International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) which qualifies them to be an educator in an international setting. All our staff are also a professional learning community who engage in professional development weekly at AIS.

APPRECIATING TEACHERS

We are, because they are… Teachers’ Appreciation Week held annually at AIS, is rather special! From students writing notes to sharing delectables, and teachers’ picnic there are more ways than one to show gratitude.

TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

There’s no expiry date for learning. At AIS, we are committed to delivering the very best in instructional practices to better serve the needs of our students. From in-house weekly professional development to International trainings is the soul of teaching-learning process at AIS. Our teachers collaborate not only during weekly professional development but also on everyday basis; Collaboration is an expectation, it’s a culture across the Yearbands and disciplines along the departments
